The Los Angeles Public Library can be life changing! If you live around here and haven't visited the Central Library downtown, do yourself a favor and go there. It's an art deco masterpiece (the old part anyway). There are at least two art galleries in there, with museum quality pieces. There is a huge selection of DVDs, CDs, audiobooks and videotapes. Any book you ever wanted is probably there. But let's say you just stick with your branch library. You can reserve materials online and have them delivered to your branch! You can return materials to any branch. You can renew online. You can download audiobooks from the library site. IOW, life changing.
